Rattan wicker glass and bottle holder basket

An impromptu aperitif (or not) in the garden Never mind ! With its very particular, compartmentalized shape, this charming woven wicker basket was designed for just that! It allows you to carry 4 bottles and 12 glasses (even a little more if some are stacked). It must date from the 50s or 60s. I cleaned it carefully with a brush and white vinegar before drying it in the sun. It is in good general condition, very solid, no broken strands, but it does not hide some signs of its past sixty years: the handle and a “cord” separating the glass have been replaced by light wicker (a time when the 'we didn't throw away, or we repaired as much as possible!), a few traces of paint on the handle and under the base and obviously the pretty patina of the wicker after several decades. It measures 48 cm high and 46 cm in diameter.
