Painted wooden column

Rare to find. Sheath, column, saddle) in satin varnished patinated painted wood, rectangular pilaster shape decorated with wooden moldings, capable of supporting heavy loads. Used as a harness or column to highlight an object of art (large antique vase, bust, candelabra, statue, etc.) 20th century period. Good general condition, patina of the wood showing traces of wear and impacts, particularly at the edges of the base.
