Glass ball vase with white filigree, Fulvio Bianconi for Venini Murano, ca 1960

Colourless glass baluster vase by fulvio bianconi in murano, lined with "reticello white" and "zanfirico white" canes welded hot, blown on the fly. In very good condition, the underside of the foot is worn but intact (see photo). Note: a small bubble present at the level of the foot (see photo). Old but unsigned vase as often happened (see examples in photos). Designer fulvio bianconi was born in padua, italy in 1915. He attended the carmini school of art and worked as an apprentice decorator in michele pinto's studio and at the academy of fine arts in venice where he lived during his childhood. In the mid-thirties, he moved to milan to work as a graphic designer and illustrator. In 1946 he was hired as a perfume bottle manufacturer for venini in murano. It is there that he will meet paolo venini, they will collaborate and realize many pieces together, new designs... Then they separate for divergence of signature attribution of their coins. Fulvio then continued to work for various factories in murano.
