This genuine porter’s chair is exceptionally rare and simply magnificent. Deep-buttoned with a tailored canopy, the all-original leather, with its colour variations and patina is exquisite. It sits on brass casters. This chair is completely usable and comfortable, even if you don’t have a hotel lobby! The cupboard beneath the seat, once purposed for hot warming coals, is also fully functional, not that I would advise putting it to its original use! This is a very special piece indeed.
