Set of 4 FPE chairs by Ron Arad for Kartell 1990s

A set of four 'F.P.E.' (Fantastic Plastic Elastic) chairs, designed by Ron Arad for Kartell in the late 1990s. This design is famous for its clean, fluid curves and the technical feat of combining two entirely different materials without visible screws or joints. Each chair features a single sheet of moulded opal white polypropylene that curves to form the seat and backrest. This flexible shell is held by a lightweight, matte aluminium frame that loops around the edges. The chairs are incredibly comfortable due to the natural flex. Remains in good condition. The aluminium frames are sturdy and the plastic shells are structurally perfect with no cracks. Some light surface scuffs and minor scratches from normal use over the years. Seating height is 46cm
