Mid century retro vintage teak sideboard by jentique1960. An absolute stunning example of a mid century design piece. This outstanding high quality designed sideboard was produced in the 1960's by jentique. Jentique was not only known for their high quality produced furniture but also for their stylish designs and were very heavely influenced by danish designers popular at the time. With its organically formed wooden handles it gives an unmistakleble style. Along with similar cabinetmakers (e.g. Meredew), the design of jentique furniture followed the tastes of the times and the company did particularly well during the 1950s and 1960s, tapping into the hugely popular mid-century modern style inspired by danish design. This piece gives a lot of storage possibilities with a cabinet to each side and 3 drawers in the middle. A very unique and stylish piece for every home. In a very good used vintage condition, with the typical sign of use. W 165, 5cm X d 43cm X h 70, 5cm. Jentique furniture ltd was a furniture manufacturer established in the 1930s by the well-known toymaker geoffrey bowman jenkins and his wife edith, who based the company in dereham, norfolk. Jenkins lost his business to partner bernard smart (better known as the maker of metamec clocks) in 1936 but rose to fame through his stylish designs and high quality priduced furniture.
