Large vintage Art Deco fan with shimmering reflections, made of varnished bamboo and hand-painted paper with orange floral motifs "Physalis - Cupids in a Cage" and birds "White Cranes" on an iridescent silver-gray background. Original label "Made in China." A highly sought-after wall fan for interior decoration in the Orientalist movement, the blend of traditional Asian motifs (cranes, flowers) on an iridescent background is in keeping with the Art Deco style. Condition: A tear visible in the photo, but not obstructing the opening. Dimensions (cm): H76. Open L110.
