Victorian candle holder

Antique brass candlestick from the Georgian era, measuring 28 cm high, with this beautiful turned baluster shape. Candlesticks like this were everyday objects at the time - before electricity, every home needed one (or several), so they were designed to last and handmade, which partly explains why none are ever quite identical. Today, you can style it to make a true centrepiece - on a mantelpiece, a dining table, or paired with books and ceramics on a shelf.
