Small solid elm wardrobe - Shandong China around 1900

Storage cabinet from Shandong, China (circa 1900–1930), stripped and made of solid raw elm wood. It is ready to be varnished, waxed, oiled, etc. It features a large open niche at the top and a lower section closed by two small doors. The locking system is a traditional wooden latch and lock. It is assembled in the old-fashioned way with dowels and is not dismountable. It is in very good condition and of very high quality. Ideal as a sideboard, a small workpiece or an accent counter with character in a Boho Chic/Ethnic, Wabi-Sabi decor. There is the option to apply a clear matte or satin varnish finish, medium oak satin varnish, light oak satin varnish, golden oak satin varnish, or dark oak matte varnish for an additional €100.
