Matteo Thun Topolino table lamp 1989

Stunning topolino table lamp designed by matteo thun for bieffeplast in the late 80s. Together with ettore sottsass, thun was one of the co-founders of the mephis group. This design movement brought shape, form and style throughout the 80s, later on the italian designer worked as a creative director for swatch. This topolino lamp is made out of a sturdy metal base with chrome handles and a thick pressed glass diffuser on both sides. The use of this particular glass makes the light soft but still bright.
