Tea filter in openwork silver metal - Strainer for old teapot

This tea strainer - or tea strainer - is made of silver metal. This filter is delicately perforated with patterns at the bottom. With its stem to slide into the spout of the teapot, this tea strainer was used as a filter, in order to retain the tea leaves when pouring the drink into the cup. In good general condition, this tea strainer measures 5 cm X 3.5 cm. I point out scratches from use, small dents and traces of oxidation.
