Arne Vodder Model 212 oval dining table in rosewood, produced by Sibast Møbler, Denmark 1960s. A beautifully proportioned and highly versatile Danish dining table, combining an elegant oval form with the refined detailing and exceptional craftsmanship characteristic of Arne Vodder’s designs. Crafted in richly figured rosewood, the table features a beautifully shaped oval tabletop with a subtle raised edge running around its perimeter. The carefully selected rosewood displays an exceptionally expressive grain, with warm brown tones and striking darker figuring that continues beautifully across the tabletop and extension leaves. The table comes with two separate extension leaves, allowing it to be used in three different lengths: 200 cm, 250 cm or an impressive 300 cm when fully extended. This makes the table remarkably versatile, equally suitable for everyday dining or for accommodating a larger number of guests. A particularly distinctive feature is the elegant base construction. At either end, the table rests on a three-legged pod-style base, connected by horizontal supports. The slender rounded legs and dark rosewood create a light architectural appearance while providing excellent stability, even when the table is fully extended. The table has been completely professionally refinished and is presented in very good condition. The refinishing has beautifully revived the rich colour, depth and expressive grain of the rosewood while preserving the original character of the piece. Only minimal signs of age and use remain, consistent with its vintage character.
