Mid century retro vintage sideboard teak designer 1960

Mid century retro vintage teak design sideboard 1960. This absolutely beautiful mid-century designer furniture was created by the english quality furniture maker austinsuite. Austinsuite was based in london, as all the big names in designer furniture were, and produced beautiful dressers, bedroom costumes, and dining room costumes. This sideboard was designed by frank guille who specialized in designing beautiful simplistic designs like this sideboard. Clean lines and many scandinavian influences have been incorporated into this design. The concave shape of the sideboard and the organic wooden handles give this sideboard a very luxurious look. With a cabinet on each side and three drawers in the middle, this sideboard has plenty of storage space. In very good used vintage condition. W 182, 5cm X d 46cm X h 76cm. Frank guille (1927-2018) was one of the best british designers of the middle of the last century. His work was defined by a commitment to function, practicality and simplicity. Under a series of brilliant teachers, frank guille was formed to be part of a new wave of designers. He first learned from english masters robin day and gordon russell. Later he studied with a scholarship in copenhagen with one of the founders of danish modern furniture design - kaare klint.
