Black oak glazed bookcase

Former library from a community. Probably from the 50s, this showcase has very beautiful details and very high-end finishes. Cleats, locks and brass handles, all the furniture is paneled, cornices and moldings... The fairly simple base gives it a singular and very elegant look. Its charm is enhanced by its high and low sliding doors, which make it a very practical showcase, avoiding the classic opening doors that require a recoil for the opening. The doors slide perfectly into their rails. The design of the windows ensure a beautiful rhythm to the whole. The furniture has been completely restored, removed from its old thick varnish, totally sanded, treated and then covered with a beautiful black napoleon lacquer. The back of the furniture is fully paneled. The shelves are fixed. The top of the furniture is dissociable from the bottom, for more practicality. The top is perfectly fixed on the bottom, using a wand on it. Attention the furniture is in solid, so it is quite heavy. - Total dimensions - l 163 X d 39.5 X h 245 cm.
