Beautiful old stoneware pot from Puisaye, turned and glazed, unsigned. French artisanal work from the late 19th to early 20th century. Bulbous shape with two side handles, slightly narrowed neck highlighted with turned grooves and a wide lip. Very nice natural glaze in brown, honey, beige, and grey tones, with numerous nuances and firing irregularities typical of this type of old utilitarian stoneware. 15.5cm in height, 20cm maximum width at the handles, 12-13cm maximum diameter, 9.7cm diameter at the opening. Overall good condition, wear to the glaze particularly on one of the handles and a few small signs of age, harmonious ensemble. 1128g.
