This charming little earthenware pot, the shape of which is reminiscent of soup tureens, is very finely decorated. The decor was hand painted in 4 colors (blue, brown and two tones of green) enhanced with a black line. The earthenware seems relatively old to me, perhaps from the beginning of the 20th century. The shape of the handles as well as the design and colors of the decoration are entirely reminiscent of desvres earthenware, and in particular those painted by henri delcourt, but it has no markings other than a number 17 underneath, so I can't do anything affirm. It may have been a gravy boat or other culinary container, but I fell for it because I immediately imagined it containing small succulent plants, in a pot or planter. I will be happy to attach some small plants to the package if you wish, do not hesitate to let me know via messaging. It is in good general condition, no cracks but does not hide some signs of its advanced age: small stains and chips on the enameling. It measures approximately 13 cm in diameter, 16 cm in width (including handles) and has a height of 7 cm.
