The in-between is a piece of furniture in the shape of a console, a small wardrobe or a sideboard that is leaned against a panel or paneling between two openings, two crosses or two doors. It is also called support furniture or support height furniture. This piece of furniture, often richly decorated with marquetry and gilded and chiseled bronzes, like boulle's furniture, took place under the ice lining the trumeau. This kind of sideboard or console uses materials such as rosewood, walnut, ebony, mahogany, etc. The word in-between dates back to the middle of the sixteenth century to characterize the position of a cabinet between two windows. The music trophy is a group of musical instruments, scores, etc, ... Symbolizing the art of music. We frequently find this type of decoration in carved panels of the woodwork of the eighteenth century or on the inlaid facades of the furniture of the louis XV and louis XVI period. The instruments often represented are the viola, violin, lute, flute, harp, etc.
