Stained glass window late 18th early 19th century on the theme of the dance of death swiss stained glass window which depicts a scene of dance of death which is both intriguing and fascinating. The danse macabre is a step in the representation of death and a popular artistic motif both present in european folklore and elaborated in the late middle ages. In addition to its religious aspect, this stained glass window is a very beautiful decorative or collectible piece. It really comes into its own when exposed to a light source. It will therefore be wise to find them a special place near a window or a lamp. Dimensions: height 28cm width 19cm depth 1cm the stained glass window is quite well preserved. The frame appears to have been restored. There are color differences in the metal used to join the glass pieces. Look closely at the photos to note these small defects which remain very discreet once in situ. Defects that are largely acceptable for pieces of this age. See photos.
