Tchi-tchi rug from chechnya, caucasus, part of the group of stair cross mats, based on armenian tradition. These rugs are easily recognizable by their floral border with oblique sticks separating stylized flowers. The colors of our model are blue, red, white and a very bright curry yellow, representing a highly sought-after combination and an orderly distribution on each pattern as well as for the borders. The field is blue-night and is occupied by numerous crosses, placed in shift from the cross formed by the field, making it a complex and learned geometric game, in shape and color. Each cross receives in its center a large stylized flower and other motifs as well as the very present letter "s", which is the first letter of the armenian word "unbp" meaning "almighty god" and tells us the belonging of this carpet to the group of chretia carpets. Eastern countries. The main border develops on a blue-night background many sets of straight batônets ending with "kotchaks" ram horns. This rug, from the middle of the 19th century, is a beautiful collector's item with wear, so it is better to install it on the wall as a real painting of modern art that has nothing to envy our contemporary painters, rather than install it on the ground. Dimensions: width: 123 cm (4 ft) X length: 174 cm (68 in) This carpet has been cleaned professionally and environmentally.
