Box of 12 sèvres crystal knife holders, rosewood model, in very good condition. Sold in their original box (exterior as is), marked inside "cristalleries de sèvres" and flocked with the golden symbol of cristallerie de sèvres. Work from the beginning of the 20th century. The royal glassworks of sèvres was given as a gift to madame de pompadour in 1750. It was quickly considered one of the best crystal works in france, and its reputation grew for the finesse of its crystal and its opaline production.
