Light Grey Metal Pendant Lamp – Diabolo Shape, Scandinavia, 1960s

A beautifully sculptural pendant lamp from the 1960s, shaped like a diabolo — flaring out at both the top and bottom with a slender brass neck in between. It’s crafted from sheet metal, finished in a soft, matte light grey that pairs beautifully with the polished brass ring wrapped around the neck, marking the transition between the upper and lower sections.The wide, flared shade features a delicate perforated pattern of dashes and dots running around its lower edge, letting soft flecks of light spill out alongside the warm glow from below. Inside, the shade is finished in a bright white that helps diffuse the light beautifully. The lamp comes complete with its original matching ceiling cup, made from the same metal and finished in the same light grey, which also houses the ceiling hook for hanging.The manufacturer is unknown, though the lamp is confirmed to be of Scandinavian origin.
