Celadon speckled glazed ceramic teapot

Ceramic teapot with a low, elongated silhouette, slightly speckled celadon green glaze. Wide, flattened body, a long tapered spout, a raised handle with an almost organic design, and an astonishing conical lid topped with a small knob. A streamlined shape with Asian accents. The glossy glaze features very fine speckles. The underside reveals the reddish-orange clay at the heel, a lovely contrast to the softness of the celadon. No mark or indication of origin. In beautiful vintage condition, with several small chips and nicks revealing the red clay, particularly a more noticeable chip at the tip of the spout, as well as small occasional losses on the handle and body (see photos). Length from handle to spout 24 cm – diameter at widest point 16 cm – height of body 6 cm – height with lid 11.5 cm – estimated capacity approximately 65 cl.
