Hand-painted glazed earthenware plate, featuring a monochrome ochre decoration inspired by Moustiers. An elegant bird spreads its wings at the heart of a light vegetal decor, animated by scrolls and small insects. The scalloped edge discreetly highlights the balance of the composition. Painted mark on the reverse from the Faïenceries des Martres-Tolosane, with decoration indication. In beautiful vintage condition. Bright glaze and well-preserved decoration. Presence of some light signs of age and firing on the reverse, inherent to artisanal production (see photos). Diameter: 27 cm.
