Magnificent compotier from the 1900s, made by the lunéville earthenware factory keller&guérin. This is the "gui" model, created by the ceramist edmond lachenal (his reputation is no longer in doubt since his participation in the universal exhibition of 1889), and whose pale green and mauve patterns are obtained by the use of the stencil. It is stamped on the reverse. The production of this model ceased following the disappearance of the stencils, during the fire of the lunéville factory by german troops in 1914. This is why it is particularly sought after by collectors. The dish is in its own juice, note: beautiful natural cracks in the enamel throughout, normal wear and brown coloring in places, a chip on the edge of the bowl. Please look at the photos in detail, they are part of the product description! Don't forget that this piece is very old and has been used, it truly represents a piece of french earthenware history! Dimensions: 24 cm in diameter / 13 cm high. Total weight: 900 grams. This dish will be perfect on a table to place some fruit or cakes!.
