De Sede DS-76 modular leather sofa

The ds-76 is an exceptional modular sofa, designed and produced with craftsmanship by the swiss furniture manufacturer de sede. Each element can be individually transformed into a comfortable guest bed, without any need for mechanical support. When introduced in 1972, the ds-76 was considered revolutionary, thanks to its simple and ingenious mechanism, unique in the world of sofa beds. Made from soft, warm chocolate brown leather, the sofa is in excellent, used condition with a beautiful patina that has developed over the years. The sofa shows no defects but has superficial signs of wear, such as light scratches and folds. All zippers work smoothly, it includes all anchors to secure the elements together, and the sofa comes from a smoke-free home. The original owner has adjusted one corner element, allowing the corner to be interchanged. This allows the sofa to be flexibly adapted to both left and right configurations, or simply as an additional intermediate element without a corner, allowing it to adapt harmoniously to any interior. The holes in the leather made for this purpose are invisible in any configuration. Bolts with leather-colored cover heads are included with the delivery, with which the holes can be concealed if desired. Please refer to the last photo for clarification. The ds-76 is still produced today, albeit at significantly high new prices, a testament to its enduring popularity and timeless design.
