Snail table lamp created by giuseppe raimondi for studio luce in 1970. Raimondi was an italian architect and designer, former creative director of the gufram company from 1966 to 1970. The innovative pieces created by giuseppe raimondi and his artistic direction helped give the company has an international reputation. For gufram, he created "margherita" (1966), a table with modular armchairs, with ugo nespolo, then two other successful armchairs, alvar (1967) and mozza (1968). Subsequently, his curiosity for new materials led him to collaborate with cristal art and saint-gobain, creating a series of mirrors, tables and lamps that play with the reflection of shapes and light. In addition to the field of textiles, office furniture and ceramics, he also works in the field of lighting, creating the miriade cable lamp for valenti. In 1970 he founded the abaco studio with others and in 1977 he opened his own studio in turin. In 1987 he was one of the winners of the compasso d'oro with the delfina chair produced by bontempi; some of his works are exhibited in the collections of the museum of modern art and the victoria and albert museum. Her passion for design leads her to teach and write for design magazines such as domus, casabella and abitare. This snail table lamp in white lacquered metal surprises with its organic and minimalist shape. Equipped with original italian wiring, it tilts thanks to an ingenious system, with sand acting as a counterweight in the lower part, giving the illusion that it is in balance. Very good original condition.
