Here is a beautiful carafe with a lovely rounded shape and a decoration featuring fine and delicate floral patterns engraved into the material. My research seems to indicate that it might be a piece from the "Golfe Juan" port service offered by the Baccarat crystal factory in the late 1930s, which would also explain the absence of a signature or mark on the piece. Indeed, before 1936, Baccarat pieces did not bear a mark. The decoration, which falls between Art Nouveau and Art Deco, and the shape correspond, but I remain cautious, as I am not an expert in this field and at first glance it seemed to me that it was more glass than crystal. It's up to you to judge ;) This carafe is in generally good condition, neither cracked nor chipped, but it has a small sign of use that also reflects its age: an opacity in the material inside around the neck, perhaps just a bit of limescale, possibly cleanable but I do not have the appropriate brush (see photo on brown background in particular). You can also see the number 22 engraved very small under the base; I had already noticed such markings, sometimes on the neck, and also on the stoppers. I then thought it was a "thing" for collectors to avoid mixing up the stoppers, but I now wonder if it is not a mark added in the crystal factories to keep bottles and stoppers together... If a specialist passing by can inform me, I would be delighted. Additionally, this carafe does not have its original stopper; I found a stopper (marked 72) that fits (dimensions and design relatively coherent, see last photos) and I can include it in the package at no extra cost if you wish, just remember to let me know at the time of purchase. This carafe measures 20 cm in height and approximately 12 cm in maximum diameter.
