Description
Superb post-impressionist screen with 4 panels in painted canvas. The painting depicts the edges of a canal. We see a fisherman on the right bank, accompanied by his little white dog sitting quietly in the grass. The man observes the 2 boats (a small sailing boat and a boat) sailing on the water. Woods are drawn in the background. The painting is of very good quality, well done and bright. Signature lower left: "ch frechon 1894" for charles frechon. Post-impressionism, france, circa 1894.
