Pair of original adjustable industrial desk lamps from 1955, Czechoslovakia.

An impressive pair of original industrial desk lamps from 1955, featuring a construction of painted black metal, shiny dome-shaped shades, and adjustable articulated arms. The lamps bear a manufacturer's plate indicating type 11605 and date II-1955. Their functionalist design combines robust industrial construction with a distinct mid-century appearance, making them suitable for vintage interiors, architectural spaces, offices, studios, or collectors of historical lighting. Each lamp has an adjustable articulated arm and a repositionable shade, allowing for changes in the distance between the shade and the lamp body, thus adjusting the angle and direction of the light according to the user's needs. The shiny black shades contrast with the textured metal lamp bodies, the original braided electric cords, and the heavy round bases. The combination of industrial materials and functional design gives the whole a strong sculptural presence.
