Splendid ivory paste plates from wedgwood made in england (maison rouard) circa 1880. La maison rouard, in paris, is a very famous store, specializing in tableware and fire arts in general. Large black monogram in the center of the plates, the classic gadroons, and the legendary finesse, density and lightness of wedgwood. Note some splinters among the gadroons and some fine shadows generally associated with the very old earthenware to be seen in the photos. Bright with faint traces of use. All stamped on the back.
