18th-century Italian gilded wood cornoty

Large neckline and its old console in rococo-style gilded wood, with a rich décor. The top is made up of two triangular shelves that follow the shape of the console tray. They are decorated with small beads on the ledge. Mirrors line the bottom of this slurred piece of furniture. The console on which the neckline rests is made up of 2 feet carved with plant motifs. It is flanked by volutes that stretch towards the corners. This antique corner furniture was made in italy around the middle of the 18th century. Its flamboyant décor and the whimsical curved and asymmetrical lines are characteristic of the rococo style, in vogue throughout 18th century europe.
