Old office

Lovely office dating from 1920/1930 that we found in an old congregation in brittany, near lorient. It has the particularity of having been used by the treasurer and therefore there is a slot on the tray to slide directly the pieces into the drawer without having to open it... We cleaned and disinfected it, stripped and treated, painted black and patinated leaving the tray in its original color and finally we protected it with a water varnish for everyday use. The lock that no longer worked was replaced by an old drawer button that we also found. Note a small accident at the base of one of the feet (visible on photo in close-up) not questioning either its solidity or its aesthetics but adding charm and authenticity to this beautiful piece of furniture. Height 72cm, width 91 cm, depth 65cm, height under headband 59cm. Inner dimensions of the drawer: height 6cm, width 26cm, depth 42cm.
