1950s Original Woodcut Carved Wooden print Block by Pauline Jacobsen Tree

Original 1950s woodcut wooden print block by pauline jacobsen. Very nicely detailed, hand carved lime wood then used for printing. Exceptionally well carved. The artist would often use the grain of the lime wood as a feature of the design. Remnants of the ink remain on the woodcut surface from the print process. A hanging loop has been added to the rear of the piece. St1266.
