Carpet Hamadan design Kazak

Hamadan carpet (cotton warp and weft, wool velvet), northwestern persia, circa 1950-1980. The carpet is decorated with four central medallions, extended by five large pendants on a blue background with small geometric patterns. An ivory border with serrated garland of flowers is framed by two counter-borders. Typically characterized by its geometric design, this rug is largely reminiscent of ancient russian and caucasian carpets. Dimensions: 300x107 cm (with fringes) Status: good.
