Description
Magnificent French art deco chandelier with 3 lampshades and central basin signed degue, founded by David Guéron (1892-1950) specializing in luxury glassware including chandeliers. The shades are opaque white glass in a tulip style to the top with a marbled dark purple. and green towards the edges. The matching bowl is white in the middle and again purple and green marbled glass around the edges. The bowl shade has 3 drilled holes to attach the chandelier fittings to the bowl. The bowl and the three lampshades are signed degue. The central bowl hangs from aged iron fittings decorated with foliage with the 3 scrolled arms holding the tulip lampshades. The chandelier operates with double core French wiring and takes 4 large bayonet bulbs. All glass is complete with no chips or cracks. The metal shows age-related marks and patina with some age-related pitting and discoloration. We recommend that all electrical items be checked by a qualified electrician in your own country to comply with local safety regulations.
