Saraband carpet, Iran.

Saraband rug, woven in the mountainous region of Sar-e Band, located south of the Shahrestān of Arāk and east of Borujerd. Richly composed of boteh miri motifs with a central diamond-shaped medallion and four spandrels reproducing the boteh motif in pure new wool and natural dyes. The ornamentation of this exquisite piece is surrounded by a delicate border of sinuous lines and zoomorphic motifs, a symbol of eternity and continuity. Timeless, it will bring a colorful and warm ethnic touch to both contemporary and classic interiors.
