Saraband carpet, Iran.

Saraband carpet, woven in the mountainous region of sar-e band south of the shahrestān of arāk and east of borujerd. Richly composed of boteh miri motifs with a central medallion and four spandrels taking up the boteh pattern in pure virgin wool and natural dyes. The ornamentation of this piece of great finesse is surrounded by a delicate border of sinuous lines and zoomorphic motifs, symbol of eternity and continuity. Timeless, it will bring a colorful and warm ethic touch in both a contemporary and classic interior.
