Soupière, vegetable from the french earthenware factory gien, service "blue ibis" - also called "blue square" - dating from 1875. Made of square-shaped iron earth with a rounded festoon on the corners, this tureen is composed of a convex shaped container raised by four small square feet, two side ears for easy grip and a slightly concave lid with a button on the upper part. Beautifully decorated, this enamelled tureen is ecru in color with a sublime vegetable, floral and geometric frieze that decorates the outside of the container, the ears and the lid. In very good condition since no cracks or gins are to be noted but that several stains inside and outside the container are to be noted and contribute to the general patina of the room, this tureen will find its place in your kitchen and will bring a vintage, colorful and made in france touch to your table decoration. Elaborate decoration in the gien factory, this motif draws its inspiration from the royal earthenware factory of sèvres by its color and artisanal earthenware factories of rouen for its hand-painted motifs.
