Made by the master of Danish design Hans J. Wegner, the JH701 chair is one of his rarest pieces currently. Here we have a first edition published from 1965 by Johannes Hansen, in excellent condition. The patina of the cognac leather is just perfect (note a few stains on the seat), the stainless steel structure and the solid oak backrest are also. For the record, this is the first model called "light armchair" inspired by the JH518 model created by Hans J. Wegner for his personal home in Jaegersborg combining wood and steel. The assembly of the backrest is made from 4 main pieces of wood, in this case oak, assembled by wenge pieces, thus creating a unique design for this model for a high-end finish! This chair was purchased in the 60s/70s in the Loeser boutique in Germany, specialized in high-end design. Dimensions: 62x41x68 Seat height 43
