Pretty tripod stool in solid wood with pencil-shaped legs reminiscent of those of the "shepherd" stool, created by charlotte perriand in 1953. It may be from the 70s or 80s. The wood of the feet is threaded in the upper part, thus allowing their screwing directly into the holes made in the seat, also threaded. The feet can thus be unscrewed, which can be convenient during a move, or if it is used punctually in a small space (a tinyhouse for example) but the stool will be delivered mounted. It is in good general condition, stable and solid, but does not hide its age, I will date it from the 80s but without any certainty: various marks and stripes, including old holes of tendrils on the seat (which I still treated by injection of white vinegar), a crack under the seat (not problematic for the moment, and even less if you plan to use it as a piece of sofa or bedside for example), stains too, mainly remains of old varnishes (stains. Paints?) of dark color on the feet, and turning red on the seat. Good brushing/sanding, especially of the feet, could probably give an interesting result. The wood of the seat therefore has a shade pulling on the red, it also has two knots (of origin obviously; ). It measures 36 cm in height, the seat has a diameter of 23 cm for a thickness of 3.5 cm. It weighs 1.5 kg. The vases in the last photos are on sale in my shop; ).
