Khmer-style Thai doll head

Khmer-style thai doll head representing the monkey god hanuman. This head was used for the village show illustrating the ramayana, the body was made of cloth and rag, and the head was held on a stick to solidify the body. The patina is aged which is very consistent with the age of the object. Slight lack on the hat. Red lacquered carved wood, glass inclusion, rhinestones, matt black custom base. Late 18th early 19th century. Head dimension 18x10x10cm.
