Pair of Severin Hansen rosewood nightstands or side tables for Haslev, Denmark 1960s

Pair of simple yet elegant nightstands in rosewood designed by severin hansen for haslev møbelfabrik, denmark 1960s. Minimalistic form, great craftsmanship. These side tables are characterized by angular silhouettes, tapered legs and great joinery - great examples of mid-century modern danish design. Additional lower shelf provides functional space for books or smaller items but it can also be detached if necessary. The rich grain of the rosewood tops adds to the elegance. In our opinion, the uneven grain on both tops makes the pair much more interesting.  The superior quality and authenticity is confirmed by the manufacturer sticker and the danish control label, constituting a distinction for the best furniture manufacturers. Additional dimensions: Height of lower shelf: 32 cm. They are in great shape and the tops have been refinished with thick protective coat of new lacquer to add protective layer also to enhance the look of the wood.
