Antique polylobed jewelry box candy box in Saxony porcelain hand painted flowers 19th century.

This lovely old polylobed box is made of german porcelain. It is composed of a cup and an openwork lid richly decorated in polychrome. Its broad, delicately polylobed shape gives it a certain elegance. The decoration, signed "mk" is entirely hand painted: it presents fine colored flowers and roses, as well as finely detailed rocaille ornaments enhanced with gold. This box can be used as a candy dish, a sugar bowl, a trinket tray, a potpourri or a jewelry box. It bears a stamp from a german royal factory: a crowned coat of arms, difficult to read. In good condition and of good size, it measures 15 cm in diameter X 12 cm in height. I point out traces of use and a small chip, as well as a cooking crack.
