Large decorative egg in natural malachite

Spectacular decorative egg made of polished natural malachite. The stone offers a remarkable profusion of concentric patterns, rosettes, and eyes, in a palette ranging from soft green to deep green. The egg appears to have been carved from a single piece of malachite. A few small natural cavities seem to have been occasionally stabilised or filled with green resin at the time of polishing. These discreet irregularities testify to the mineral character of the piece and remain visible in the photographs. A unique and precious decorative object, ideal in an eclectic interior, on a console or within a cabinet of curiosities. Height of the egg: 11 cm. Weight of the egg: 1.198 kg.
