3 seater sofa by Hans Wegner for Getama, modell GE 290 in teak

One of the most famous designs by Hans Wegner and probably all of Danish mid-century modernism is the GE 290 sofa and armchair by Getama. The 290 series can be recognized by the long armrests in the style of an ironing board and the typical rear-facing rear feet. Details of the restoration: The cushions are in their original condition, both the cover and the filling with spring frames correspond to the manufacturing condition. The wooden frame was cleaned and oiled. L'une des créations les plus célèbres de Hans Wegner et probablement de tout le modernisme danois du milieu du siècle est le canapé et le fauteuil GE 290 de Getama. La série 290 se reconnaît à ses longs accoudoirs en forme de planche à repasser et à ses pieds arrière typiques orientés vers l'arrière. Détails de la restauration : Les coussins sont dans leur état d'origine, tant la housse que le remplissage avec cadres à ressorts correspondent à l'état de fabrication. Le cadre en bois a été nettoyé et huilé.
