With plia, the italian designer giancarlo piretti revolutionized the folding chair in 1967 for the manufacturer anonima castelli. Equipped with a three-ball joint and made of steel and transparent plastic material cellidor, the folding chair plia seduced from the outset. It has since become an award-winning cult object of "italian design" and is a piece of the museum of modern art in new york (moma).
