1950s “663” Cabinet by Wim Rietveld for Gispen, Netherlands

An eye-catching cabinet, model “663”, designed by wim rietveld and manufactured by gispen in the netherlands around 1950. The frame of this cabinet is made of gray metal with addition support bars in the back, which is why it is more fitting against a background than in the middle of the decor. It has three storage units in addition to the many shelves. One in yellow, and two in red all with round perforations serving as door handles. This colourful touch, together with the four black lacquered side panels, all add nicely to the playful, decorative touch of this design. A wonderful find of dutch design, very fitting for a modern or industrial interior! The cabinet remains in worm, vintage condition with wear, marks and rust spots as reflected in the photos, all together preserving a beautiful patina and industrial style.
