Small soup tureen - Keraluc Quimper, André Galand - 1960s

This model (shape 501) features a highly graphic stylised floral decoration (decor G6) in warm tones of ochre-yellow, saffron brown, and olive green, perfectly emblematic of the 1960s. The piece is entirely hand-painted and signed underneath by the decorative artist André Galand (initials AG). The contrast between the shine of the glazed patterns and the matte appearance of the stoneware visible at the base gives the whole a superb relief.
