This work represents a port of a Norman town in the early morning. This oil on canvas, unsigned on the canvas but authentic to its time, is quite astonishing with very successful autumnal colors in a sometimes thick material. We also notice a very beautiful morning mist in the background. The style could also be expressionist, that is to say a representation of a place following the psychological state of the painter at the time of its creation.
