Optima Pendant

This fantastic mid-century danish pendant lamp designed by hans due for fog og mørup balances a space age funkiness with smooth minimalism. Designed in 1972, the 60 cm model was the largest of the 7 piece optima line, which included other pendant, table, floor, and wall lamps. This optima lamp was produced by the danish firm fog and mørup while under the creative leadership of jo hammerborg. The optima pendant lamps are designed to have a clean and minimal silhouette when seen at eye level, while offering a more impressive angle when seen from below. Like many danish lamps of the 21st century, the optima is designed to reduce direct glare, providing a smooth, consistent light. The topside of the bottom leaf is painted red to add a warmer hue to the lgihtsource. For the authentic experience, hang this lamp at eye level and fit with a mirror coated bulb to reduce glare (as pictured). The lamp is fitted with two meters of electric cord.
