Set of 8 vintage red terracotta chairs with chrome metal legs – Martin Ballendat

8 chairs with a terracotta seat, polypropylene, and a metallic grey metal base, featuring attractively shaped legs. Design from 1998 by Martin Ballendat (1958) for Wiesner Hager, Austria. Ballendat is known for the Perillo chair (his version of Pierre Paulin's Ribbon chair) and the N@t chair (for Rossin). Marked: on the underside of the seat, see photos. The chairs in this lot are dated with a calendar from the second quarter of 1999. This model is no longer in production. The chairs are anti-tilt and remain stable. Reasonable to good: no damage, slightly worn, slightly faded from sunlight, see photos. Wear consistent with age and use. The design style reflects that of the selected designer and/or manufacturer. Good — This vintage/antique item may show some wear, such as scratches and other signs of use. Light wear consistent with age and use.
